Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao decided to regularize the service of Junior Panchayat Secretaries. CM directed state Principal Secretary to Panchayat Raj department Sri Sandeep Kumar Sultania to finalize the procedures for the regularisation of services of Junior Panchayat Secretaries.
The CM suggested that committees should be set up under the direction of the Collectors at the district level to evaluate the performance of the Junior Panchayat Secretaries. District Collector along with Additional Collector (Local Bodies), District Forest Officer, District SP or DCP will be the members of this committee. A secretary-level or HOD-level officer from the state level will act as an observer. At the state level, a committee will be constituted headed by the Principal Secretary of the Panchayat Raj Department. The proposal forwarded by the district-level committee will be examined by the state-level committee. The state-level committee will forward the report to the Chief Secretary.
In some Gram Panchayats in the State, district Collectors appointed Junior Panchayat Secretaries on temporary basis. CM ordered to start the process of appointment of new Junior Panchayat Secretaries in these positions as well in the next stage of regularization.
