Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao has expressed happiness over Telugu films clinching several awards in the recently announced #69thNationalAwards by the Union Government.

CM Sri KCR congratulated Tollywood’s Icon Star allu arjun who won the best actor national award for his outstanding performance. It is a proud moment that a Telugu artist has for the first time won the national award for best actor, Hon’ble CM added.

Sri Allu Arjun bagged the national award for his performance in the popular movie ‘Pushpa’. He enthralled the national and international audience with his top-class acting as the hero in many films, CM stated.

Hon’ble CM said that Sri Allu Arjun continued the legacy of his grandfather and great actor Late Sri Allu Ramalingaiah and emerged as a great actor on his own drawing inspiration from unique actors like Sri Chiranjeevi.

Chandra Bose, who brought global recognition to Telugu film song lyrics with his creative writing, for winning the National Award for Best Lyrics. Hon’ble CM congratulated Sri Chandra Bose.

The Chief Minister also congratulated Music Director Sri Devi Sri Prasad, playback singer Sri Kala Bhairava, film critic Sri Purushottamacharyulu on the national award. Hon’ble CM also congratulated the Producers, Directors, Actors and Technical staff who won the #NationalFilmAwards2023.

The CM said that it is heartening to see Telugu film industry, with Hyderabad as its base, showcasing its mettle at the national and international stage. CM Sri KCR said that it is a great accomplishment for all of us that Telugu cinema stood as a role model for the country in the film production by winning the hearts of the audience from not only the Telugu states but also from other Indian states and beyond.

The CM expressed satisfaction that, with the support and encouragement of the state government, the Telugu film industry has been competing with other Indian cinema counterparts. CM Sri KCR reaffirmed that the state government will continue to extend support for the promotion of the Telugu film industry. The CM hoped that the #TeluguCinema will expand its wings globally with the inclusion and representation of different cultures.
