In order to develop ‘Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy’ temple at the banks of river Godavari as a tourist important destination and a spiritual hub, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao has announced Rs.100 crores for its expansion and development. CM KCR has stated that, since the prestigious Kaleshwaram irrigation project is in the verge of completion and going to be a lifeline the temple area and the Kaleshwaram area has to be developed as a tourist destination. The state government is determined in this endeavour the CM stated. As part of the ongoing Kaleshwaram project works inspection along with family members and officials CM KCR visited the Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy temple and goddess Parvathi temple on Sunday. Later at the temple premises, CM has spent quality time with the Archakas.

Since the Kaleshwaram project is going to attain utmost prominence, hereafter there will be lakhs of public visiting the place accordingly development has to be made at the temple. In this endeavour, CM has instructed the District Collector to procure 600 acres land for the temple development. For this purpose if required government, private and forest lands need to be acquired the CM felt and directed the officials accordingly. CM also desired to have a Kalyana Mandapam and place for discourses of visiting seers. Accordingly, the temple has to be expanded the CM felt.

As the Kaleshwaram project is successfully on the verge of completion it is proposed to conduct a mega Yagam the CM said. The further CM stated that for rituals like yagnam and yagam the temple being in the banks of river Godavari will be ideal and for the reconstruction of the temple Sringeri Peetadhipathi Sri Bharathi Teertha Swami will be invited. On completion of the Kaleshwaram barrages, river Godavari waters will remain up to 170KMs until they touch the feet of Dharmapuri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy feet. With the blessings of Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy through the project around 45 lakh acres will be irrigated sumptuously for both the crops the CM said. During Telangana struggle at Ramagundam the sight of Godavari used to bring in tears, I used to pray the almighty for the waters to flow in Telangana and leave coins. Now my prayers are heard and Telangana problems are being addressed the CM said.

Further, CM has also stated that residential quarters will be built for the Archakas besides a Vedic school and a college. It will be an integrated complex. CM has directed the officials to set up a mesh facility at Pushkar ghats to avoid inconvenience to the public. Along with CM and family, Ministers Sri Yerraballi Dayakar Rao, Sri Koppula Eswar, MP Sri Joginapalli Santosh Kumar, Chief Advisor to Government Sri Rajiv Sarma, Advisor to government Sri Anurag Sarma, Chief Secretary Sri SK Joshi, CMO official Ms. Smita Sabharwal, MLAs Sri Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, Sri Dasari Manohar Reddy, MLCs Sri Naradasu Lakshman Rao, Sri Bhanu Prakash, Former MLA Sri Putta Madhu, Collector Sri Venkateswarlu, Ms. Devasena, Karimnagar ZP Chairman Sri Tula Uma, Corporation Chairmans Sri Damodar Rao, Sri Eeda Shanker Reddy, Temple Chairman Sri Bommara Venkatesam, EO Sri Maruti, Sarpanch Ms. Vasantha were present.

Hon’ble CM Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao during his visit to Kaleshwaram project on Sunday has said that ‘moving three TMCs of water every day from the Godavari to Telangana areas is like moving one single river’. CM has expressed happiness for bringing the prestigious Kaleshwaram project nearer to completion at a rapid speed. After visiting Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy temple CM has keenly inspected the Kannepally Pump house works progress at Kaleshwaram. Through lift, CM went into the pump house and inspected the motor pumping process. Engineers and Contract agency representatives have explained the CM about the working process of the pump house. On par with the completion of Kaleshwaram Project, its operation and maintenance too are equally vital the CM stated. Prior to July moving of two TMCs water for irrigation is a welcome step the CM said. Speaking to officials and working agencies the CM said that since it is a major project some small technical snags are inevitable they should be meticulously dealt with and prevent recurrence of the same in the future.

Further, the CM said that in the process of speeding up of works one should not compromise on project quality. All precautions are to be ensured even if it takes its own pace of time. After completion of power supply works, fitting of motors and others. After due completion of checklist process for inaugurating the trial run, CM assured to be present along with the Chief Secretary. CM suggested for completion of the same by the end of this June.

From Kaleshwaram to Mid Manair it has to be considered as Phase-I, from Mid Manair it has to be considered as Phase-II and accordingly works need to be completed in a smooth manner the CM suggested. With regard to the operation of the pump house and other projects, an independent wireless system has to be developed the CM felt. Since large size motors are going to be established to prevent unwanted waste material entering into the pump house motors required trash track system has to be established in advance, the CM suggested. In the process of lifting 2 TMCs of water as part of project priority, subsequent efforts are to be on for the due plans to lift 3TMCs water. In this endeavour, all efforts are to be made the CM desired.

CM has further stated that in the process of completing Kaleshwaram project works, the efforts being put in by the Engineering officials, Working agencies and every worker need to be appreciated and thanked. Along with the Chief Minister, Ministers Sri Yerraballi Dayakar Rao, Sri Koppula Eswar, Chief Secretary Sri SK Joshi, MP Sri Santosh Kumar, Engineer in Chief Sri Muralidhar Rao, Sri Venkateswarlu, Mega company Directors Sri Krishna Reddy, Sri Srinivas Reddy several MPs and MLAs were present.
