There are 19 BC Residential Schools of which 12 are meant for Boys and 7 are for Girls. The Residential School at Kowdipally (Medak) is meant for the children belonging to fishermen community. The Boys Residential School located at Doulatabad, Medak district have been upgraded into a Junior College. The admitted strength of students during the year 2013-14 is 8,080 (5,560 Boys and 2,520 Girls). Total 13 Residential Schools are located in Government Buildings and 6 are in Private Buildings. One new Girls Residential School at Narsapur, Medak District and One new Boys Residential at Mogullapally, Warangal District were sanctioned during 2013-14, 2014-15 respectively. Sanction of posts is awaited.

The ratio for admission of students into BC Residential Schools: BC-A: 20%, BC-B: 28%, BC-C:3%, BC-D: 19%, BC-E: 4%, SC: 15%, ST: 6%, EBC: 2% and Orphans: 3%.

Fishermen children: 46%, BC-A: 7%, BC-B: 10%, BC-C: 1%, BC-D: 7%, BC-E: 4%, SC: 15%, ST: 6%, EBC: 1%, Orphans: 3%.

During the academic year 2013-14, out of 1,076 students 1,073, (99.70%) students of Telangana State were passed in the 10th Exams.
