CM KCR‘s speech – Highlights:

The Chief Minister explained the development taking place for the last nine years in the Telangana state. State of the art collectorates are opened in 24 districts. In some states, the state secretariat buildings are inferior to the new collectorates in Telangana.

Telangana set a benchmark in many sectors and achieved tremendous growth in a short time. The state is number one in per capita income surpassing Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. The state also ranks number one in the country in per capita electricity consumption. Telangana is the only state which provides safe drinking water to all and 24 hours quality power supply to every sector.

• On decennial celebrations of Telangana formation, the government enhanced the pension amount differently abled from Rs 3016 rupees to Rs 4016. The State will achieve more economic progress and increase pension amounts further in the future.

• IN the previous regimes, total pension beneficiaries were only 23 lakhs to 24 lakhs. Today, there are nearly 50 lakh pension beneficiaries in the state which is the result of Telangana’s economic progress. Ghanpuram Dam and canals are seen in front of your eyes how magnificent it is.

• Telangana’s progress is the result of the collective efforts of public representatives and officials. Today the fruits of Telangana’s progress are being received by both the upper and lower classes because of the same spirit as we fought for Telangana. We should go further in the coming days. The ‘quest for excellence’ never ends. Once we set a destination and reach there, we have to take another step.  Excellence Always Remains and the Quest Never Ends. All should participate in making this state more developed. Make these well-constructed administrative buildings work well and gain a good reputation.

• Once the Sangameshwara and Basaveshwara lifts are completed in Medak district, there is a possibility that the old Medak district will become a green district. During my intermediate days, when I was going to Sangareddy for my Mulki certificate, I used to stop for a while at Edupayala’s Ammavari to see Manjeera water. Everyone knows how Manjeera was ruined during the erstwhile AP rule. Today, with the great efforts of our Irrigation Department, we have constructed check dams in Haldivagu and Manjeeravagu to provide water for 365 days.
