Following heavy rains, Honourable CM KCR alerts Ministers and Officials on emergency measures.

Honourable Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrasekhar Rao has been monitoring the ground-level situation as the torrential rains lashed the state while ensuring the safety of people and avoiding untoward incidents since morning. The CM alerted the ministers, public representatives and the authorities and gave instructions promptly.
The CM instructed the ministers to ensure no loss of life and provide better treatment to the flood victims if any incident is reported. CM KCR ordered the ministers to ensure that all the MLAs and public representatives of the respective districts shift people from the flood-affected areas to safe places and take protective measures in coordination with the authorities.
CM KCR issued orders to Chief Secretary Smt Shanti Kumari for immediate protective measures. Following the orders of the CM, the CS held review meetings and teleconferences with officials and took necessary steps. NDRS teams and helicopters are pressed into the service for rescue operations, supplying food, medicine and other required material to the affected areas. The Disaster Management Department, Fire Services and Police Department are working in coordination and taking relief measures.
CM KCR instructed DGP Anjani Kumar to alert the police and participate in relief operations. A state-level flood monitoring centre is in place, with the DGP as the supervisor. The police are making efforts to move people from low-lying areas.
INSTRUCTIONS TO IRRIGATION OFFICIALS :
In the wake of heavy rains, the Godavari, its tributaries, rivulets and water bodies are receiving heavy inflows. Officials have already issued a danger warning. CM KCR asked the Chief Engineers to take steps to reduce the flood inflow. The officials have been asked to predict the inflow and lift the gates to discharge heavy inflows. The CM KCR called the Chief Engineers of SRSP, Kaleshwaram projects, Kadem project, Mid Manair, Lower Manair and other projects and enquired about the flood situations in the projects. The officials are taking action based on the flood flow in every project.
INSTRUCTIONS To MINISTERS :
CM KCR issued orders to the ministers to coordinate with the authorities and take part in the relief measures. The ministers are taking all steps to ensure no loss of life by evacuating people to safe places from the flood-hit areas.
On the instructions of CM KCR, Municipal Administration Minister Sri KTR visited the flood-affected areas in the GHMC. Despite heavy rains, KTR visited the regions and ordered the authorities to take protective measures. The minister directed the GHMC officials to visit catchment areas and take relief measures. GHMC officials and staff promptly cancelled their leaves and participated in relief operations in flooded areas.
CM KCR received information about the situation in Godavari catchment areas from Minister Smt Satyavati Rathore. The CM reviewed the situation to save people in the submerged Marampally village. The minister inspected the Chalivagu River and flooded areas along with the officials. She supervised the ongoing relief operations in the Mulugu flood area and stayed there.
- Minister Koppula Ishwar visited the low-lying areas of Dharmapuri and shifted people to rehabilitation centres, and provided food and clothing to the people.
- State Finance and Health Minister T Harish Rao held a teleconference with the officials, set up a command control centre at the state level and call centres in the districts and alerted the authorities to provide emergency medical facilities when required.
- Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy visited the relief camps in Nizamabad districts. CM KCR contacted Prashanth Reddy and inquired about the situation.
- Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav reviewed the flood situation and heavy rain impact in Hyderabad with Mayor Vijayalakshi and officials.
- Minister Indrakaran Reddy personally examined the condition of the Kadem project in and overflowing. CM KCR spoke to the minister and inquired about the situation.
On the instructions of CM KCR,
- Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar inspected the Godavari flood situation along with Special Officer Anudeep in Bhadrachalam in the morning. Ajay Kumar participated in rescuing those trapped in the Munneru River in Khammam district. NDRF teams shifted people to safe areas.
- Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao reviewed the situation with the officials. The rescue teams saved the tourists trapped in the floods in Mulugu districts.
- Minister G Jagdish Reddy conducted a review with officials on heavy rains in the old Nalgonda district. The minister directed the officials to be alert and ready to take safety measures in Musi and other areas.
- Minister Srinivas Goud visited the flood-affected areas of Mahbubnagar and provided relief to the people. The officials are directed to take measures to ensure that the flood water does not enter the houses and flows smoothly. All the departments have been instructed to coordinate. Flood flow in the Krishna River basin is also reviewed.
- Minister Gangula Kamalakar visited and reviewed the flood situation in Karimnagar district. Flood water has been released from Manair Dam. The minister reviewed the floods in the district and instructed the officials.
On CM KCR’s instructions, Ministers, representatives of the public and officials of the administration are visiting flood-affected areas and taking safety measures to protect people in the low-lying areas.
