Continuing the spirit of equality of all religions and reflecting the secular nature enshrined in Indian Constitution, Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao took an important decision towards showcasing Telangana’s ‘Ganga-Jamuni Tehjeeb” to the world.
CM Sri KCR has decided to inaugurate Nalla Pochamma Temple, Mosque and Church, which were being constructed in the Dr BR Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat premises on the same day. After consulting the respective religious heads, the date of the inauguration has been decided.
On August 25, the CM will re-open the temple by installing the Nalla Pochamma idol in the presence of priests by following Hindu traditions. On the same day, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate the mosque and the church as per the Islamic and Christian traditions.
Hon’ble CM held a high-level review meeting with Ministers, the Chief Secretary, CMO officials, R&B officials, and the executive members of the Telangana Secretariat Employees Association on Tuesday. On this occasion, CM KCR took the historic decision to open the places of worship of the three religions on the same day in consultation with Hindu, Muslim and Christian religious heads. The three religious places would be available for Secretariat employees for worship from the inauguration day.
