Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy today directed the officials to make the entire stretch of Musi River front in Hyderabad Metropolis as an economic growth engine and a driver of job creation.
CM Revanth held a review meeting on Musi Riverfront Development Corporation at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat on Tuesday. Deputy Chief Minister Sri M Bhatti Vikramarka, Industries, IT and Legislative Affairs Minister Sri D. Sridhar Babu, Medical, Health and Family Welfare Minister Sri Damodara Raja Narsimha, MLAs including Sri Akbaruddin Owaisi, MLCs and Chief Secretary Smt. Santhi Kumari, MA&UD Department Special Chief Secretary Sri Arvind Kumar, HMWSSB MD Sri Dana Kishore, CMO Officers Sri Seshadri, Sri Shivdhar Reddy, Sri Shanawaz Qasim, GHMC Commissioner Sri Ronald Rose and other officials participated.
Speaking on this occasion, Chief Minister suggested that the entire Musi river front stretch should be developed as an economic catalyst and a go-to place for the tourists. CM Sri Revanth has directed the authorities to make comprehensive plans to construct bridges, commercial shopping complexes, amusement parks, hawker zones, and path-ways along the Musi River in a public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
Hon’ble Chief Minister said that sewage treatment plants should be set up in the required areas to reduce pollution in the Musi River and to prevent the sewage being released into the river. The officials have also been instructed to ensure that clean water flows in Musi River and to construct check-dams to maintain proper water level.
