The industrial policy framework will be driven by the slogan of “In Telangana—Innovate, Incubate, Incorporate”. The policy framework intends to provide a business regulatory environment where doing business would be as easy as shaking hands. Innovation and technology will drive the industries of the Telangana State.

A bill to provide speedy processing for issue of various licenses, clearances and certificates required for setting up of industrial undertakings for the promotion of industrial development and also to provide for an investor friendly environment in the state of telangana and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. ​​

Telangana government has launched Telangana Industrial Project Approval and Self-Certification System (TS-iPASS) at gala event held at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on 12 June amidst  the presence of top industrialists, CEOs of various companies and representatives of industry bodies. Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekar Rao has assured the audience that a graft-free and hassle-free ecosystem would be created in the State.
 
With the formal unveiling of the Industrial Policy – 2015, Telangana has become the first State in India to bestow on investors the right to get clearance of their projects within a set time-limit.  It also makes the State liable for penal action if it fails to respond to investment proposals within that timeframe. All the mega projects (over Rs. 200 crore) will get clearance in 15 days while the other projects will be approved in a month. There is also a provision of automatic approval system on submission of a self-certification.

Government is extending various Incentives for encouraging establishment of new industrial Enterprises in the State since 1961. Government has issued certain incentives to Micro,Small, Medium, Large & Mega industries under Industrial Investment Promotion Policy 2010- 2015, including the policy for promotion of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs.

In order to bring out an attractive new industrial policy by the Telangana Government, extensive consultations were also held with Industrial Associations i.e., CII, FICCI, FAPSIA, FAPCCI, ALEAP, COWE, DICCI, TIF Charlapally, Telangana Spinning Mills Association, ASSOCHAM, etc to elicit their views in formulation of the New Industrial Policy.

Government, after careful examination of the requests made by the Industrial Associations and reviewing the situations prevailing in the State during past (5) years. The eligibility period for Micro and Small Enterprises, including Micro and Small units established by SC / ST Entrepreneurs, established under IIPP 2010-15 for availing Reimbursement of Sales Tax, Pavala Vaddi and Reimbursement of Power cost.
