T-Wallet is the official digital wallet of Telangana State launched by Hon’ble Minister for IT Sri KT. Rama Rao on June 01, 2017. T-Wallet is an “anytime anywhere digital payment option for everyone”. Citizens can use T-Wallet to make payments for both government and private transactions to avail services and is integrated with government departments such as MeeSeva, GHMC, HMWSSB, TSNPDCL, TSSPDCL, RTA.
Civil Supplies ePOS system is being integrated with T-Wallet to bring all 16,000 FP shops in to the system. 1,100 Streenidhi BC Points are also being integrated with T-Wallet. This feature serves through Online Web Browser, smart-phone, and feature phone. Even a person without a phone can utilize its features. Citizens with the feature phone or without a phone can use Mee Seva centres to open T-Wallet, load money into the wallet and make payments. One can utilise its features in three languages, i.e. Telugu & Urdu besides English. There are no service charges applied for using T-Wallet.
It uses two factor authentication, through Aadhaar + Biometric or Aadhaar + OTP to Aadhaar linked mobile number, for feature phone and no phone users. Government payments such as Aasara Pensions, MNREGA payments will be sent to eligible respective citizen’s using T-Wallet.
